Don't forget...

Your Tickets – Your tickets should have arrived in a separate email on the day you placed your order. The email will be from liveit.io. Please find them now and ‘flag’ the email or take a screenshot, so you can easily retrieve it at the time of your skate. You will need your QR code to enter the rink.

Your skating session lasts up to 45 minutes – we recommend you get to the rink 30-40 minutes before your session to give you time to put your skates on and store any belongings in our cloakroom.

Remember to wrap up warm and to bring gloves and spare socks, we do sell them at the rink if you forget. Due to rain, unseasonably warm weather or high winds, the surface of the ice rink can develop a layer of water. It’s perfectly safe to skate on a wet rink, but it might be uncomfortable if you fall over.
We have limited chargeable cloakroom space, so please keep bags and personal belongings to a minimum.
The venue is cashless, so please remember to bring your card for any payments.

At the Rink

Remember to have your tickets ready to be scanned at the entrance.
You will be asked to take your shoes off and place them in the tray provided. Your shoes will be swapped for skates at the skate exchange. Be ready with your shoe size (top tip – wear thick socks). If you have your own skates, you are welcome to bring them.
Please remember that only shoes are allowed in the trays. There is a cloakroom for small items (£2 per item). There is limited space, so please leave large bags and personal belongings at home.

Remember that skates can only be worn when on the ice and in the skate exchange, you cannot leave the venue with them on.
Food and drinks are available at the rink.
Spectators can enjoy access to our dedicated viewing platform at no additional cost.
We want to ensure that you have a wonderful time and remain safe on the ice, so please remember to read the notices around the rink and listen to our staff.

Children on the Ice

Skate aids will be available to hire at the rink for £5.00 on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, child skate aids are only available for children under 130cm. Rink staff will measure all children hiring a skate aid to ensure they meet the height requirement. Optional helmet hire is included in your ticket price and will be available at the rink.
We offer children (up to shoe size 1), the option of bob-skates. Bob-skates are double bladed and the safer alternative to kids who are above 130cm. Bob-skates can be requested at the skate exchange desk. We also offer helmets, free of charge, for all skaters. Helmets can be pre-booked online or requested onsite, please see the helmet section for more information.

Kids and teens under 16 have access to our Snowmen skate aids to help support their time on the ice.
Children under 3 cannot access the rink
Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) on the rink; adults and children must have tickets. One adult can supervise up to five children

GETTING TO THE ICE RINK

Public Transport

We are just a short walk from Greenwich DLR and train stations. Multiple train and DLR services run regularly to Greenwich, making it quick and easy to reach us from across London. Several local bus services also stop nearby, and for something a little different, you can even arrive by Thames Clippers riverboat to Greenwich Pier, just a few minutes’ walk from the Queen’s House Ice Rink.

Book directly with Southeastern to pay no booking fees and enjoy great-value travel to the rink.

The Queen’s House Ice Rink is just a 10-minute walk from both Greenwich and Maze Hill stations, making it an easy day out by train. Families can take advantage of Kids for a Quid, where you buy one adult ticket and travel with up to four children (ages 5–15) for just £1 each on off-peak Southeastern services. Groups can also save with GroupSave, offering up to 1/3 off individual adult fares when 3–9 adults travel together off-peak.

PARKING

We strongly recommend you travel to the Queen’s House Ice Rink by public transport as there is very limited parking nearby. If you’re arriving by car, paid parking is available at the Park Row carpark (pre-booking is required and can be completed online here) and Cutty Sark Gardens car parks, both just a short walk from the Queen’s House Ice Rink. Please note that parking at Greenwich Park is not available for ice rink visitors. We recommend using nearby town centre car parks or public transport, as local parking can be limited during busy periods.
