Ice Skating for Everyone: Family, Kids, Schools and Community Offers at The Queen’s House Ice Rink

At The Queen’s House Ice Rink, we believe everyone in Greenwich should have the chance to skate beneath one of London’s most beautiful buildings. That’s why this winter we’ve created our biggest ever range of offers for families, kids, students, schools, locals and community groups, making us one of the most accessible ice rinks in London.

The rink is back from 18 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, and this year the ice is 30% bigger with session capacity kept the same. That means more space for little ones finding their feet, families skating together and first timers taking it at their own pace.

Family Ice Skating in Greenwich

Looking for things to do with kids in Greenwich this winter? Our family offers make it easy and affordable to skate together.

Kids skate free every Tuesday from 4pm to 6pm, from 23 November to 18 December. Book one adult session and one child skates with you for free, the perfect after school treat.

Parent and Mini Skater sessions run on weekdays from 2pm to 3pm, from 18 November to 18 December, for just £15 for both. These gentle, quieter sessions are made for parents and little ones taking their very first steps on the ice.

Skate aids are available to help younger and less confident skaters, so the whole family can enjoy the ice together.

Looking for a school trip in London this winter? Our Schools Winter Experience offers skating at London’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site ice rink for just £5 per student, on weekdays between 10am and 2pm from 23 November to 18 December.

Teachers and chaperones skate free, and skate aids and helmets are provided at no extra cost. Pair your visit with a schools session at Royal Museums Greenwich for a day that blends history, learning and festive fun.
